mood: the most general term, imputes pervasiveness and compelling quality to the principal emotion and may apply not only to the frame of mind but to its expression: the melancholy mood of the poem.    （pervasive弥漫充满: per词根表示通过through, vade表示行走to walk, to go，e.g. evade, invade, 例如the entire house was pervaded by a sour smell整个房子都充满了酸味，又如a pervading mood of fear充满了恐惧情绪）  compel强迫，即使用强制力让某人做某事。(frame一般表示框架，如沙发框架，画的外框，这里表示体系结构the general structure or idea，如物理学参照系frame of reference，又如本例frame of mind思想"体系结构"即状态 )


humor: implies a mood that is imposed on one by one's special temperament or one's physical or mental conditions at the moment: in ill ~ and out of sorts through fatigue.


temper: applies to a mood that is dominated by a single strong emotion, often that of anger: gave vent to his bad ~ in a series of angry yowls.


vein: suggests a transitory mood or humor usually without any profound temperamental or physical basis: spoke in the same humorous ~.

mood情绪: 泛指充满某种强烈感情的状态，可以是思想情感状态或表达，humor也是情绪: 由个人性情或当前身心状态强加给人的情绪，可见和自身状况联系紧密，temper脾气:  表示某种强烈的支配性的情感，常指愤怒的情感，vein语气心情情绪: 表示短暂的情绪，不具备深刻的性格或环境基础, 常说成语气或心情，如例句翻译成以幽默的语气说到。
